About Us
The Basingstoke Archaeological and Historical Society (BAHS) was founded in 1971 to support learning and research into local archaeology and history. Over the years the society has carried out or supported excavations in the Basingstoke area; published local history books; and run visits and tours to places of interest.
The society meets every second Monday from September through to June for a lecture meeting featuring either an archaeological or historical subject.
Our Next Meeting
Our next lecture meeting will be on Monday September 9th at Church Cottage starting at 7:30, when Andy and Jane King will present the findings from the Winchester Archaeological Research Group’s (WARG) excavations at Hursley Park that ended in 2023.
